Police Liability Defense - SARIA & SARIA will provide the law enforcement professional facing an Internal Affairs Critical Incident Interview or Investigation with the necessary legal representation on site and when needed.  Mr. Saria will ensure that the Constitutional and Peace Officer Bill of Rights protections afforded all peace officers are fully implicated and protected.  No peace officer client will face exposure to the critical incident investigation team without the protection of Mr. Saria's legal counsel.  Mr. Saria's first hand experience working side by side the law enforcement professional as a criminal prosecutor, and his intimate knowledge of the dangers of law enforcement, will provide the peace officer client with the best legal protection during the critical incident interview, internal affairs investigation, and disciplinary hearings.

Mental Health Litigation - SARIA & SARIA represents individuals confined within the California Department of Mental Health pursuant to California's Mentally Disordered Offender and Sexually Violent Predator statutes.  Additionally, we represent clients who were found Not Guilty by Reason of Insanity in prior criminal proceedings.  Mr. Saria represents these individuals in annual reviews regarding their continued confinement and petitions to extend involuntary mental health treatment at one of the Department of Mental Health hospitals.  Mr. Saria, investigators or expert forensic psychologists will frequently travel to the hospitals to contact and interview the hospital treatment team personnel.  It is the primary goal of SARIA & SARIA to work for the result that is in the best interest of the client patient to ensure that the mental health needs of the client are satisfied.
